Dean Giannakopoulos is a Senior Managing Director of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) and IPA Capital Markets, based in the firm’s Chicago Downtown office. He joined MMCC in March 2011 and has more than 17 years of commercial real estate finance experience. As a Senior Managing Director, Mr. Giannakopoulos is responsible for securing commercial debt and equity financing nationwide for an array of commercial property types through various national, regional, and local funding sources.
Since joining MMCC, Giannakopoulos has structured and closed more than 400 financing transactions. His career transaction volume exceeds $2.75 billion in originations. Giannakopoulos has ranked as one of the firm’s top 10 loan originators, earned the Marcus & Millichap National Achievement Award – denoting he is in the top 10 percent of the firm for earnings – every year from 2014 to 2022 and received sales recognition awards every year from 2012 to 2022. He also is a member of the firm’s prestigious Seven-Figure Club.
