  The underlying asset is mission critical for the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services (SCDPPP), and the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs (SCDCA), as they operate their headquarters out of this facility. All three agencies assigned Stable Outlook to their ratings. South Carolina is one of only 13 states rated in the top category by Fitch.
• Less than 10 Miles from Fort Jackson – Trains 50% of the U.S. Army’s Basic Combat Training Load
  Fort Jackson, as the U.S. Army’s main production center for Basic Combat Training, trains 50 percent of the Army’s Basic Combat Training load and 60 percent of the women entering the Army each year. Providing the Army with trained, disciplined, motivated and physically fit warriors who espouse the Army’s core values and are focused on teamwork is the post’s primary mission. Accomplishing that mission means training in excess of 48,000 basic training and 12,000 additional advanced training Soldiers every year.
• Roughly 10% of the Employment Base Works for the South Carolina State Government
  With more than 800,000 residents across six counties, the greater metropolitan region (commonly referred to as the Midlands) has the second largest population in South Carolina. Columbia, the state’s capital city, stretches across Richland and Lexington counties. In 1917, Fort Jackson (then Camp Jackson) was established for army training during World War I. The installation is now the U.S. Army’s largest and most active Initial Entry Training Center.
